On September 15, 2022 at approximately 5:05 pm, the Del Rio Police Department
Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call in reference to a possible shooting at
3811 Veterans Blvd (Del Rio Inn). Upon arrival officers were waived down by a Hispanic female
yelling for help.
Upon further investigation, DRPD officers located two Hispanic males who had been shot
multiple times with a semi-automatic pistol. Val Verde Regional Medical Center Emergency
Medical Service and Del Rio Fire Department were immediately requested for medical
treatment.
Witnesses at the scene provided information on the suspect’s vehicle description and possible
license plate characters. Witnesses also reported the suspect’s vehicle was occupied by two
males. Information was aired via police radio.
A few minutes later, a Del Rio Police Department Detective located the suspect’s vehicle
traveling at the 700 block of East Gibbs Street.
Del Rio Police Department Patrol and CID officers, along with Val Verde Sheriff’s Office Deputies
intercepted the suspect’s vehicle and it came to a stop on US Hwy 90 East near the intersection
with Railway Avenue.
Two male suspects were detained and transported to the Del Rio Police Department Criminal
Investigation Division for further investigation. The suspect’s vehicle was towed to Del Rio Police
Department for processing. A firearm was recovered inside the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspects were identified as Javon Rene Tristan, 19 years of age and Kameron Jahmal Tapp,
19 years of age, residents of Cibolo, Texas. Both suspects were arrested and charged with the
offense of Attempted Murder.
The two Hispanic male victims were transported by air to a San Antonio Hospital for further
medical treatment.
The initial investigation indicates this incident is possibly a human smuggling case. This is an
ongoing investigation; no further details are available at the time.

Dos arrestados y acusados de intento de homicidio

El 15 de septiembre de 2022 aproximadamente a las 5:05 p. m., el Departamento de Policía de Del Rio
El Centro de Comunicaciones de Emergencia recibió una llamada al 911 en referencia a un posible tiroteo en
3811 Veterans Blvd. (Del Rio Inn). A su llegada, los oficiales fueron despedidos por una mujer hispana.

Luego de una mayor investigación, los oficiales de DRPD localizaron a dos hombres hispanos que habían recibido disparos
varias veces con una pistola semiautomática. Emergencia del Centro Médico Regional Val Verde
El Servicio Médico y el Departamento de Bomberos de Del Rio fueron solicitados de inmediato para atención médica y tratamiento.
Testigos en la escena proporcionaron información sobre la descripción del vehículo del sospechoso y posibles caracteres de la matrícula. Los testigos también informaron que el vehículo del sospechoso estaba ocupado por dos hombres. La información se transmitió a través de la radio de la policía.
