WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tuesday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) visited the El Paso, Texas sector of the U.S.-Mexico border with Leader Kevin McCarthy and a delegation of Republican lawmakers.
While there, the delegation heard directly from Border Patrol Agents who detailed the unmanageable national security crisis at the southern border. They witnessed a large encampment of Venezuelans attempting to cross the southern border illegally and proved unequivocally that Secretary Mayorkas lied when he told Rep. Pfluger and the Homeland Security Committee last week that the border is secure.
Rep. August Pfluger released a statement following his visit: “Republicans have a message for Secretary Mayorkas: resign, or you will be held responsible. Our majority will not sit by while you endanger the safety of American citizens and vilify your own Border Patrol agents.”
During Rep. Pfluger’s last visited to the El Paso sector in March 2021, his delegation uncovered the terrible reality that known and suspected terrorists were crossing into the United States by way of the southern border, and Democrats and much of the media denied it. Now, it has been confirmed that at least 100 known and suspected terrorists have attempted to cross the border illegally in fiscal year 2022—not including those who may be among the 600,000 getaways who evaded arrest.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – El martes, el congresista August Pfluger (TX-11) visitó el sector de El Paso, Texas de la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México con el líder Kevin McCarthy y una delegación de legisladores republicanos.
Mientras estuvo allí, la delegación escuchó directamente a los agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza que detallaron la inmanejable crisis de seguridad nacional en la frontera sur. Fueron testigos de un gran campamento de venezolanos que intentaban cruzar ilegalmente la frontera sur y demostraron inequívocamente que el secretario Mayorkas mintió cuando le dijo al representante Pfluger y al Comité de Seguridad Nacional la semana pasada que la frontera es segura.
El representante August Pfluger emitió un comunicado después de su visita: “Los republicanos tienen un mensaje para el secretario Mayorkas: renuncie o será responsable. Nuestra mayoría no se quedará de brazos cruzados mientras usted pone en peligro la seguridad de los ciudadanos estadounidenses y vilipendia a sus propios agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza”.
Durante la última visita del representante Pfluger al sector de El Paso en marzo de 2021, su delegación descubrió la terrible realidad de que terroristas conocidos y presuntos estaban cruzando a los Estados Unidos a través de la frontera sur, y los demócratas y gran parte de los medios lo negaron. Ahora, se ha confirmado que al menos 100 terroristas conocidos y presuntos intentaron cruzar la frontera ilegalmente en el año fiscal 2022, sin incluir a aquellos que pueden estar entre las 600,000 fugas que evadieron el arresto.
