STAGE 2 WATER CONSERVATION PLAN: LIFTED

Stage 2 of the Drought contingency is lifted as of 8/23/2022.
Stage 1 will be implemented as of 8/23/2022 and will continue until determined spring levels are
at a safe level. For more information on the drought contingency plan please visit

SUMMARY OF STAGE 1:
Water customers shall be encouraged to voluntarily limit outdoor water use by participating in
the five-day watering schedule for outdoor use.
Outdoor water use shall be discouraged between the hours of 10:00am and 7:00pm. These time
restrictions do not apply to:
1. Hand-held hoses equipped with a positive pistol grip nozzle or other device that
automatically shuts off water when the hose is not in use.
2. Hand-held buckets and watering cans
3. Drip irrigation
4. Irrigation of commercial plant nurseries
5. Use of reclaimed water
6. New landscaping during installation and the first (10) days following installation
7. Testing of new irrigation systems or existing irrigation systems being tested or under
repair.
Water customers shall be encouraged to practice water conservation and eliminate nonessential
use.
All operations of the City of Del Rio shall prohibit nonessential water uses.

PLAN DE CONSERVACIÓN DE AGUA ETAPA 2: LEVANTADO

La etapa 2 de la contingencia por sequía se levanta a partir del 8/23/2022.
La Etapa 1 se implementará a partir del 8/23/2022 y continuará hasta que se alcancen los niveles de primavera determinados. a un nivel seguro. RESUMEN DE LA ETAPA 1:
Se alentará a los clientes de agua a limitar voluntariamente el uso de agua al aire libre participando en
el programa de riego de cinco días para uso en exteriores.
Se desaconsejará el uso de agua al aire libre entre las 10:00 a. m. y las 7:00 p. m. estos tiempos
las restricciones no se aplican a:
1. Mangueras manuales equipadas con una boquilla con empuñadura de pistola positiva u otro dispositivo que corta automáticamente el agua cuando la manguera no está en uso.
2. Cubos de mano y regaderas
3. Riego por goteo
4. Riego de viveros de plantas comerciales
5. Uso de agua regenerada
6. Paisajismo nuevo durante la instalación y los primeros (10) días posteriores a la instalación
7. Pruebas de nuevos sistemas de riego o sistemas de riego existentes en prueba o bajo
reparar.
Se alentará a los clientes de agua a que practiquen la conservación del agua y eliminen
usar.
Todas las operaciones de la Ciudad de Del Rio prohibirán los usos de agua no esenciales.
