DEL RIO – The playoffs returned to the Walter Levermann Ram Stadium after 23 years, and the Del Rio Rams took the chance to prove their momentum is far from over. Del Rio defeated the La Joya Palmview Lobos by a score of 58-30 in the Bi-District round of the Region 4 6A-Div 2 postseason.

The Rams lost the coin toss but that didn’t keep them from scoring in the opening minutes of the game; after the kickoff by the Rams, Del Rio would recover a fumble at the Lobos 18-yard line and from there scored the first points of the game.

The Rams amassed a 20 point lead (34-14) before the half and didn’t look back until the end of the game, boosted by the 3,600 souls cheering from the bleachers.

The Area round of the playoffs will be played on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Alamo Stadium, in San Antonio, Texas. The Rams (9-3) will be facing the Weslaco East Panthers (8-2) looking forward to advance to the next round of the playoffs. The winner of the match will be facing the winner of the Steele vs. Brennan game.

Tickets for game are being sold starting Monday at 9 a.m.
