Conexión San Angelo/Staff Report

SAN ANGELO – Winning the second time around is so much sweeter when the opponent is the one you lost to the first time. In a rematch from a game played three weeks earlier, where the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds won against the Rams, 46-28, it was payback time as ASU routed ENM, 63-20 in a playoff game for the third place of the conference held in Blackwater, New Mexico.

With a Lone Star Conference Championship third place finish, the Rams closed out their 2015 season, Saturday, November 14, 2015.

The Rams finished the season with a 7-4 record while their record-setting senior quarterback, Kyle Washington, amassed nearly 500 combined passing and rushing yards; plus four passing touchdowns and two touchdown runs against ENM.

Washington became the only quarterback in Angelo State University history to pass for over 3,000 yards consecutively.
