SAN ANGELO–Two losses back-to-back during the season for any team are difficult to handle. When it's consecutive losses in Lone Star Conference play, it makes it that much more difficult to win the conference. Saturday on the road in Commerce, Texas, the Angelo State University Rams came up short in their failed comeback attempt as they fell to the Lions 38-35.

The game with Texas A&M was ASU's featured televised NCAA Division II Game of the Week on ESPN3. With the stinging defeat, the 16th ranked, Rams fall to 1-2 in LSC and 4-2 on the season.

As for the Commerce Lions, they are tied with Midwestern State at 4-0 in LSC.

ASU's next game is homecoming, Oct. 17 at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
