DEL RIO – A Del Rioan was arrested Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2016, after being found at Walmart allegedly harassing female customers. The arrest was made by the Del Rio Police Department and the man is now in jail facing charges for criminal trespassing.

The Del Rio Police Department received a call at 1:43 p.m. regarding a suspect, who was at the McDonald’s area at the time. The suspect had also been spotted the day before at the retail store, where he was allegedly harassing female customers.

Tuesday afternoon, Ricardo Salas, 60-years-of-age, of Del Rio, was recognized by store personnel, who called the Del Rio Police Department.

Sgt. Robert Zaragoza, with the Del Rio Police Department, explained that Salas had previously received a warning, since 2014, which was signed by both a store representative and the suspect, stating the he was not welcome at the store.

Salas was taken into custody and transported to the Val Verde County Corrections facility where he is now facing criminal trespass charges.
