DEL RIO – The failure to yield right of way turned into a trip to jail for a Del Rio resident on Saturday morning, July 9, 2016, due to having an outstanding arrest warrant with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Department.

Raul Alexander Guzman, 19-years-of-age, was driving a green Ford Expedition Saturday morning on the 200 block of Veterans Blvd., when he was spotted by a Del Rio Police Department official failing to yield right of way.

Guzman was pulled over by Officer St. Germain, who performed a background check and found that Guzman had an outstanding arrest warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity. Guzman was arrested without incident and booked into the Val Verde County Corrections Facility GEO.
