DEL RIO – Two women were taken into custody and are now facing serious charges, in connection with an alleged criminal trespass and drugs incident occurring on Saturday, August 27, 2016 which involves two different locations. The arrests come in the wake of another shoplifting call yielding a drug bust, this one on Thursday, August 25.

Hollee M. De Santiago, 29-years-of-age,  was arrested Saturday at the Walmart parking lot, 2410 Dodson Ave., Del Rio, Texas, after police officers found 11 grams of heroin and 5 grams of methamphetamine in her car.

Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the scene after receiving a call regarding a person who previously had been caught shoplifting at Walmart, and had received a criminal trespass warning. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found Joanna Dawn Thompson, 24-years-of-age, walking toward De Santiago’s car.

Officers performed a search of the car and located the drugs, which field tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine respectively. Thompson was also arrested on criminal trespass charges.

Earlier, that same day, a party including De Santiago, Thompson, two other females and a male, had been reported at IHOP, where they were allegedly causing trouble, taking silverware and putting it in their purses.

When arresting Thompson and De Santiago, the silverware was also located. The other two females and the male were not charged.

De Santiago and Thompson were arrested and taken to the Val Verde County / GEO Corrections facility. De Santiago faces charges for the possession of controlled substances penalty group 1, more than 4 less than 200 grams.

On Thursday, August 25, police officers arrested Clarissa Guadalupe Guerra, 19, who was found in possession of 5.2 grams of Xanax, as well as 20 other prescription pills also at the same location and stemming from a shoplifting report.
