DEL RIO – A hotel clerk was violently kidnapped and forced into a vehicle on Friday, July 22, 2016 in Del Rio, Texas, according to Del Rio Police Department records. The victim, a 50-year-old male, sustained injuries to the back of his head during the incident.

The Del Rio Police Department received a call on Friday night, at 5:42 p.m., reporting the incident, in which some hotel guests are suspected of being involved. According to the report, the clerk was allegedly forced into a maroon pickup truck, and apparently taken from the Super 6 Hotel.

Full details of the investigation are yet to be made public, as well as the name of the victim, but the suspects in the vehicle are believed to be a male and a female that were guests of the hotel and for some reason were angry at the clerk.

The case is under investigation as an aggravated kidnapping by the Del Rio Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.

EMS paramedics were called to the scene, but the victim declined medical attention.

As of press time, no arrests have been made in this case. More details will be posted as they become available.
