EAGLE PASS – The Texas Border Coalition announced that U.S. Congressman Will Hurd, Representative of the 23rd Congressional District of Texas, will keynote their quarterly meeting luncheon in Eagle Pass. Hurd will address the federal government’s role in border infrastructure funding and take questions from the audience afterwards.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, with the keynote scheduled at 12:15 p.m. at the International Center for Trade, West Room, 3295 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, TX 78852

Hurd played a key role in the passage of bipartisan legislation that allows state governments to direct federally funded Highway Transportation dollars to be used to bolster border infrastructure. Four TX23 counties – Maverick, Val Verde, Kinney and Presidio – are already benefiting from the Coordinated Border Infrastructure legislation.

The mission of the Texas Border Coalition is to make legislative recommendations to help the Texas Border Region grow and prosper economically.
