DEL RIO, Texas- The parks along San Felipe creek has long been a popular camping destination for citizens who observe the Easter holiday. If you decide to stay at one of our parks along the San Felipe creek, please make sure all waste is properly disposed, this will help protect our natural resources and create a better experience for everyone.


To help ensure the safety of our citizens, bike patrol officers will be patrolling the parks during Easter weekend. For non-emergencies call 830-774-2711, for emergencies call 911.


Easter Camping Schedule:


Campsite setup will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 19, 2019. The closing of campsites must be completed by 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 21, 2019.  If you plan to camp at one of our parks, please keep the following in mind:


1. Glass containers are not allowed at any City park at any time.


2. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Other animals and livestock are not allowed which includes, but is not limited to: horses, cows, pigs, snakes, chickens, goats, or lambs. Make sure to pick up after your pet.


3. Please place all of your trash in the trash bins provided on the park grounds.


4. If you're unable to locate a trash bin, all of the trash needs to be carried away from


the park by the person responsible for its presence and properly disposed of elsewhere.


5. You must park in the designated parking areas provided.


6. Do not start a fire outside of the designated firepit area. Do not leave the area until the fire is completely extinguished.


7. Vending and peddling are not allowed. You must obtain a permit if you wish to sell items of value at any time.


8. Do not throw any substance, whether liquid or solid, into the water at a public park.


9. Please keep an eye on your children at all times, make sure your children have lifesaving devices on while entering the water.

Although, we would like everyone to have a fun and safe weekend let’s ensure our parks remain clean by properly disposing litter, not only to protect the environment but to contribute to a more enjoyable park experience for everyone
