Laughlin to conduct active shooter exercise

Laughlin Air Force Base, TX.Laughlin Air Force Base will conduct an installation-wide active shooter exercise Aug. 23. The exercise will commence at approximately 8 a.m.

 

 

 

During the exercise there may be loud noises, explosions and changes in force protection levels. Incoming and outgoing traffic may experience delays.

 

 

 

Officials at Laughlin take seriously the active shooter threat, and endeavor to take all possible measures and precautions, including exercises such as this one, to deter or defeat this threat.

 

 

 

Laughlin Social Media sites may provide guidance to military members and families as would be done in an actual active shooter scenario.  However, all social media messages in support of the exercise from Laughlin official sources will include “EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE.”
