DEL RIO – 50 students enrolled in three dual credit Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs at Del Rio High School. They graduated from Southwest Texas Junior College during commencement ceremonies on May 11, 2018, at the Honey Bowl Stadium in Uvalde, Texas.  

The three specialty programs that currently offer the one-year certificate include the Welding Program, where students earn 27 dual college credits; Aircraft Maintenance Program, where students earn 16 dual college credits; and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program, where students earn 15 dual college credit hours.

The students in this program also earn multiple industry level certifications. These programs are part of the Manufacturing, Transportation, and Health Science programs and are part of the growing Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program.
