DEL RIO – Alida Helgerman is one active citizen in the local community in Del Rio as she participates and volunteers in numerous organizations. 

Alida has been or is currently involved in the following activities:

Awarded the 2016 Women of Distinction Award; and Volunteer of the Year for March of Dimes 2006

• Active Board Member of Del Rio Host Lions

• Active Vice President of the Foundation Education Board

• Active DRHCC finance Director

• Active Committee Member of the DRHCC Scholarship 

• Former Rotarian 

• Former Del Rio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Vice Chair of Women’s

Issues

• Served on committee for the Project of Expansion of County Val Verde Library

• Member of Toast Master International

• Former member of the Committee for Niños Navideños  

• Former Pace-setter for United Way 

• Former Chairperson of the Rotary Scholarship Committee 

• Director of the Service Lane Projects of the Del Rio Rotary Club

• Member of the Council Board at Cardwell Head Start Program 

• Volunteer/instructor for Jr. Achievement and the NEFE programs. 

• Chair of March of Dimes 2006

• Volunteer of the Year for March of Dimes 2006

Alida attended the University of Monterrey (Universidad Regiomontana) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. She also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Tourism with a major in Advertising. 

Helgerman is the proud parent of a 30-year-old daughter, a son-in-law and two beautiful grand kids, Maximillious and Maxylynn Constancio.
