DEL RIO,TX–Miranda Martinez and Ana Marinelareña, members of the Del Rio High School Choraliers, will perform with the Texas All-State Mixed and Treble Choir in San Antonio, Saturday, February 11th at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.

Martinez, a 12th Grade student, and Marinelareña, a 10th Grade student, were chosen for this prestigious honor through a competitive process held this year across the state at District, Region, and Area levels. 

Miranda is the daughter of Adrian Lee Martinez Sr. and Katherine Elaine Martinez of Del Rio.  Ana is the daughter of Hugo Marinelareña and Karina Marinelareña of Del Rio.   

Ana and Miranda, under the direction of Josue Gonzalez, member of the Texas Music Educators Association-a 12,000 plus member organization headquartered in Austin, will perform in the All-State competition that is held as part of the annual TMEA Clinic/Convention, February 8th through the 11th.

With over 29,000 people from Texas and beyond that attend over 280 workshops, 100 performances, and visit over 1,300 exhibit booths at this nation's largest music educators convention, it is truly an honor for these students to have been chosen to compete.
