DEL RIO,TX–H-E-B to host a Free holiday dinner celebration for an estimated 5,000 Del Rio Residents during the 24th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing.

The holidays are a precious time for H-E-B. It’s a time to bring family, friends, and neighbors together and give special thanks to its customers. On Saturday, 5,000 Del Rio residents are expected to rejoice in the beloved annual holiday festivities and kick off the holiday season in South Texas during the 24th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing Dinner. 

Hundreds of H-E-B and community volunteers from the area will join together at the Del Rio Civic Center to serve a feast to an expected 5,000 Del Rio community members, free of charge. The menu will include turkey with gravy, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert. There will also be live music, entertainment and activities for the whole family throughout the day.

The H-E-B Feast of Sharing dinners were founded in 1989 and are a facet of H-E-B’s Food Bank Assistance Program. The program works year-round to prevent hunger in Texas and Mexico. Today, 33 dinners are held across Texas and in Mexico, with more than 250,000 meals served to communities.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 12th at the Del Rio Civic Center, located at 1915 Veterans Blvd., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

More than 5,000 Del Rio community members enjoying a holiday feast complete with live entertainment, games and holiday fun for the whole family.
