DEL RIO – A lavish money clip was reported stolen at a local store, after an employee placed it on top of a counter and it was apparently taken from there. The luxury piece has an estimated price tag of $2,500. The money clip was lost at TNT Finance Co, located at 748 S Main St., Del Rio, Texas.

The report of the alleged theft was made on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 by 57-year-old Antonio Diaz at 4:47 p.m.

The police report states that the clip is made of gold, and had a 50-peso gold coin embedded on the clip. Authorities believe that the clip was taken between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31.

The case was turned over to the City of Del Rio Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division.
