DEL RIO – The Consulate of Mexico in Del Rio, Texas, in conjunction with the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor, and OSHA, will be holding its Eight Annual Labor Rights Week, starting on Monday, August 29 until Friday, September 2, 2016.

The event, comprised of a series of conferences, will be held under the theme “Dignity of the Job ,” Time to Know Your Rights.

The schedule of events includes a conference on Labor Rights, by the Wage and Hour Division, to be held Tuesday, August 30, 11 a.m. through 12 p.m. at the Consulate of Mexico in Del Rio offices, 2207 N Bedell Ave. Del Rio, Texas, 78840.

On Wednesday, August 31, the event goes across the border and into the Infoteca Municipal in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where the conference will touching on the Rights of Workers with H2A and H2B Visas.

The conference on Workplace Safety, by OSHA, will be presented on Thursday, September 1, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m., at the Val Verde Community Center.

And finally, on Friday, September 2, the last conference of the cycle, entitled The Handicapped at the Workplace, will be held at the Consulate of Mexico in Del Rio, 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. by Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.

All conferences will be free of charge and open to the public.
